Is this umbrella on wheels to easily move around our patio?

No this is not on wheels. It comes with a metal base frame onto which one places the four plastic weight boxes. The boxes can be filled with water or sand. It is not designed to move about. If it was on wheels it is highly unlikely that it would remain in place and would very likely fall over in a little gust of wind. The design of this umbrella requires a substantial base to prevent it from falling over. This would be true of all offset umbrellas. That being said, if one has any strength, changing positions would not be that difficult. I can do it and I am over 70.

LED lights are automatically on during bright sun of day while fueled by the solar energy. As soon as sun sets, lights go out, until adaptor plugged into an electrical outlet. Is this the design of the product or is something wrong with the solar panel?

Thanks to a comment by another buyer, we discovered there is a power switch located on a small box attached to the end of one of the canopy rods. This isn't mentioned in instructions and can easily be missed, but there is a switch.

Does the umbrella light up at night with solar power?  Or does it have to be plugged in?

You dont need to plug in unless it is raining or very cloudy. So far I've never had to use the plugin. Solar power will last the evening

Sorry Jennifer, mine only came with umbrella instructions as well and they weren’t for this umbrella. I ended up putting it together by myself without any instructions. I’m sure I took much longer than it should have but I did it with no parts to spare and it works.  Good luck

Rated 5 out of 5 by chewi_i from Very sturdy offset umbrella with side tilt feature I've been shopping around for an offset umbrella for quite some time and I decided to go with this one simply because of the side tilt feature. Assembly was quick and easy and I completed the whole process in 30 minutes. Everything fits except for the foot pedal screw which was just a bit short so I replaced it with a slightly longer one. I was able to fit the package in my 2014 Toyota Rav4 with all the seats (including the passenger) down. The base is divided into four sections and I just filled it with water. The umbrella is very user-friendly and I don't need to exert extra force to open or close it. Time will tell about the quality of the fabric and frame but I am extremely satisfied with this purchase and I can finally have some shade.

Rated 4 out of 5 by TDavies from Assembled in 50 minutes We assembled with hardly any problems at all. The last screw to go in was a bit of an issue but we figured it out in about 5 minutes. The main post looked a bit crooked and we were a bit worried that the umbrella would look crooked when it was was done but it looks perfect and we decided it must have been part of the design. We used water as the base weights for now and we will see if it is enough weight. I like the various tilt features and hopefully that will help on windy days that we can adjust the umbrella to not take on the full lift of the breeze. I imagine we will eventually decide to mount it into the concrete but we'll see. It looks big and beautiful and I am very happy with the aesthetics.

It has a base included and the base has multiple sections that you can fill easily with water and manageable weight wise. There are so many ways this umbrella offer shade. 1. It can pivot around the post by releasing a foot pedal. 2. The had lock on the post allows you to slide the umbrella up and down for that late afternoon sun. 3. The lock on the underside of the arm allows you to tilt the umbrella side to side to adjust for that late morning early afternoon sun that isn't directly overhead. There's also LED lights underneath for additional evening lighting if you want it. It's is making our outdoor time way more enjoyable!

Bought the first umbrella and set it up over the conversation seating and absolutely love it! It was easy to set up, easy to use and it really brings the whole area together, aesthetically and functionally. We bought the second one to use over our hot tub. The led lights and solar panel work great and the umbrella tilt and turn features offer up wonderful angles for sun/glare protection. Found it an excellent deal for the money in comparison to the other offset umbrellas we looked at in Lowe's and other retailers in town and online. I took a star off as one of the four plastic base weights, to be filled with sand or water, was cracked on the top when we took it out of the box. I called the manufacturer and they said they will send us a new replacement base. When we receive it I will upgrade my review to 5 stars.

The fabric has numerous holes in it (see attached pic). Also, as someone else had mentioned, the lights do not work even after being plugged in. I am skeptical of all the 4 and 5 star reviews that have been placed in the last couple of weeks.

The only problem was the very first bolt used to secure the foot lever was to short. Not sure why it isn't already put together in the factory. I used one a quarter inch longer . Other than that no issues. Works great even in windy conditions. I used water in the base instead of sand. Way easier. The lights are a nice touch. Very happy with purchase

She wanted something she could easily operate at her age and something that would block the sun from all angles. Well this umbella does it all. Well done! excellent design in my opinion. We purchase a winter cover for it as well to protect it from the elements. Oh...and the LED lights inside are super awesome at night!!
